My Approach
Traditional Reiki, as it is taught today, was discovered and passed on through Mikao Usui. Reiki has many similarities and shared results with Acupuncture, Sound Therapy, Therapeutic Touch, Massage, and even the spiritual practice of Laying Hands. I am a Christian and live by Biblical principles. When I examine the miracles in the Bible and the work that Jesus and his followers performed during their ministry, I see Reiki at work. I am honored to continue this tradition.
As an energetic healing modality, Reiki flows with whatever is currently going on in the body and works to bring back the natural, healthy state of balance. The human body was created with natural healing abilities, and Reiki can work in multiple ways to restore wholeness.
Prayer
I believe in the power of prayer. God wants to give healing and provide miracles. Your story of wholeness is yours to share with the world. How can I pray for you today?
Vagus Healing
I have seen amazing results with vibration and frequency healing, as well as aromatherapy. Reiki with me includes frequency music in the background, light aromatherapy if scents do not bother you, and breathwork. My studio is decorated with candles, crystals, and salt lamps. Please let me know of allergies or scents you do not like ahead of time.

As a single mom it is difficult to find rest. The only time I’m able to truly let my mind and heart relax is when Dee is giving me Reiki. I come back refreshed, and ready to be the best parent I can be.

I have had a seizure disorder since childhood, and I am resistant to pharmaceutical treatments. Turning to Reiki made the biggest difference! My longest time between seizures is twice as long now that I’ve added regular Reiki with my medications and other treatments. I am now able to live a full life with my family. Dee has researched with me and coached me through nutrition that also helps my brain to function better. My doctors are amazed at the difference that Reiki and nourishing my body has made in my brain scans, and my mental health. I’m so thankful for Reiki!

Stress has been an ongoing problem, but now I have clarity and focus in my life. Reiki with Dee gave me the time I needed to be still and gain clarity about things happening around me, and in me. My productivity at work has noticeably increased, and my friends have commented on the energy I have back. Reiki was the missing piece I didn’t know I needed.
Hi, I’m Dee!
I’ve been on a Reiki journey since 2003, and finding balance and wholeness for my life has always been a struggle.
I was an athlete as a child and teen, with a horrible home life, and it all destroyed my body. I have since been diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses and conditions that cause constant pain, and I have learned to be mindful of my physical and emotional limitations to keep myself out of painful flares.
I had to change what I did to get the life I wanted. Being 100% pain-free may not be in my future, but I am feeling better and am happier in my body now than I have ever been before. I spent 2 years in so much pain that I was bed-ridden, and missed out on family events, and fun with my kids, and countless opportunities for personal growth and career moves. When my husband left I poured my time into my kids and my faith, and brought Reiki back into my daily routine.
Having Reiki and the Bible already ingrained in my heart and mind made it seamless to bring it all together. As I read the Bible and the stories of the healing miracles that Jesus and his followers worked, I see Reiki at work. When I read about God feeding those in need and guiding those who need help, I see Reiki at work. There is no disconnect between Reiki and Christianity; we all seek the same thing. God grants us each specific purposes and gifts or talents, and He wants us to use our skills and stories to build up those around us, sharing His love and gift of salvation.
During high school I started questioning the institution of Christianity, and then exploring other faiths. This is when I first found Reiki. As an energy healing avenue, it is not accepted in today’s church culture. I read what I could find on Reiki, which at the time wasn’t much, and then took classes and got my 1st Level attunement in the fall of 2004. My Reiki Master, Mary Kruzel, gave 2nd Level classes the next year, and in 2007 I took her 3rd Level Master class and attunement. Almost 20 years of Reiki has given me hundreds of experiences seeing people healed in many ways, and peaceful transitions of all kinds.
But most importantly, Reiki has been my companion in every day life. Reiki keeps me in balance so that my emotions don’t throw off my thoughts, and my thoughts don’t throw off my body, and my body doesn’t throw off my emotions… It’s a cycle of cause and effect. If I eat certain foods, my entire body hurts more, and when I am in more pain than usual, I tend to want to eat the foods that hurt me. I have always been an emotional eater, with a sweet tooth and baking skills, so I now follow a strict eating plan to fuel my body without causing inflammation or more pain. I am an overthinker with ADHD and anxiety, so I now include Reiki in my morning routine to keep me focused, and in my evening routine to calm and regulate myself. Reiki helps me sleep so much better than I did for the first 40 years of my life! Depression used to have a deep hold on me, but I can now say that I have purpose and direction in my life, and I have made enough steps upward out of the “Pit of Despair” that I am medication-free for a while now.
I hope you find some inspiration in my story. xxxxx
